My Question:
What’s the significance of Bersih's last-minute-organised gathering in commemoration of the 1st anniversary of Bersih Rally?
Almost all of the appeals from Bersih that demanding for clean and fair election had been forgotten and put aside since March 8 GE.
It really creates an impression that Pakatan Rakyat leaders are just opportunists who seize every opportunity to mobilize the Rakyat for their own political sakes.

Insider's reply:
Two answers -
a) the last minute thing is partly technical - efforts to revive bersih have not been effective as everyone is distracted by others.
(b) the commemoration is exactly to bring back the demands into public discourse.
We need to start somewhere.
What great ideas that you may suggest to get things work much faster ?
A few meetings were called to revive BERSIH after march 8 but few groups are available or willing to take it up the other option is to declare its death.
======================
My reply:
These are really lame excuses.
No, I don't think I will have any great idea about how to revive the movement efficiently.
======================
Insider's reply:
Then the lame excuses are unfortunately statements of fact.
======================
My reply:
I do not blame the NGOs and individuals who try to revive Bersih movement.
But I just can't endure the opportunistic attitude shown by Pakatan Rakyat.

Insider's reply:
They are not even the organizers.
It was Haris Ibrahim who took the initiative to call for a meeting this time.
I would be happy if they would support it.
The task ahead is much tougher.
2010 redelineation is just two years ahead.
No efforts have been put in.
The price of not doing things enough is that regime change may happen only at the 14th rather than 13th GE.
Five years longer.
